Mistystep was a light-footed, medium sized she-cat, colored in a pale grey tabby pattern. The toes on her front feet are white, and her back legs are white up to her knees with a white blaze on her face. From her face stand two bright amber, almond shaped eyes.

Outwardly, Mistystep is outgoing, chatty and enjoys keeping up with gossip around camp. She works hard maintaining the image of a honest, dutiful warrior, but behind closed dens she was a selfish cat and a narcissist who frequently pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable within the clans. A sort of moral bending, so to speak. To her friends she is protective, to her son, she is possessive and a bit callous to his needs, seeing him as a small reflection of herself. Little met her expectations.

Mistystep was a she-cat with average acclaim, somewhat unassuming yet always felt inclined to exaggerate a good story. She was apprenticed and earned her warrior name during the usual moons. She wasn’t the best fighter; she excelled at hunting and using her body to bring down a variety of prey to provide for her clan. Wanting to do more, she sought to provide her clan with kits, so she asked one of her fellow warriors to sire a litter out of her. Emberback and her were on friendly terms, but kept it strictly professional, their mating one of convenience. Mistystep was possessive of her sole kit of her only litter, and was stringent and kept Cloudflare close as a kit, critical of everything he did. It would be the best way to make him into the perfect warrior. When he became an apprentice she saw less and less of him until they both found their way into the medicine cats den moons later. Mistystep was slowly dying of a persistant cough, and she made her peace with Cloudflare before she went to join Starclan, or so she believed at her passing.
