Salmonclaw

A large, longhaired orange and white bobtailed cat, Salmonclaw shows his age through the number of scars on his body. A torn left ear is a trophy from his very first battle with a badger during his apprentice years while a long white scar near his dark amber eyes represents a major RiverClan loss when he first became a warrior. Big paws offset his stubby tail and the long fur around his cheeks completes his rather elderly appearance.

Always seen with a stoic look on his face, Salmonclaw might as well be in the Elder’s Den already due to his rather slow method of living. Never in a hurry and always one to get the last word in, Salmonclaw has never been one to rush into anything. Even when he was a young kit, he approached life with one paw testing the water before the rest of him followed. This isn’t due to laziness, of course, simply a cautious upbringing from an overprotective mother that led the older tom into his habits today. Although a bit slower, Salmonclaw is a tank during battle and never backs down from what needs to be done in order to protect the clan.

Salmonclaw lived a simple life in RiverClan. He always worked hard as a Warrior to provide for his clan, and while he was never close to his family nor took a mate of his own when Salmonclaw found two small kits abandoned near RiverClan territory, he stepped up and took them under his wing. The rest of his life was uneventful and although he tried his best to be a father figure to Willowfrost and her sister, they were never very close. Nearing the end of his life, when he had already moved into the elder’s den, one of the harshest winters RiverClan had ever seen claimed his life despite the best efforts of Willowfrost. He now rests in StarClan.
