Maplesprig is a muscular cat, although most of his muscle had tempered into lean sinew due to his age, nevertheless he keeps himself active as an Elder. Most of his dense, short coat is white, but his ears and tail are colored in a cream tabby pattern. A noticeable kink disfigures the end of his tail from an early hunting incident.

Maplesprig is a easy-going sort of tom, laid back and gregarious when relaxed, but could be very serious when trouble reared its head. He is the sort of tom to keep claws sheathed until the last possible moment, strongly believing in diplomatic solutions rather than immediately jumping to violence. His sense of humor relied on his creative wit as well as the occasional sharp tongue when he had his share of grievances.

Maplesprig was an active cat even at an early age, and actively enjoyed going on routine patrols. But greater still was the feeling of exploration, and hunted regularly. It was during one of these solo hunts that he first ran into the Riverclanner, Lilyripple, whose suspicion slowly blossomed into something tangible. It was a secretive friendship, one that no doubt would have been frowned upon by their fellow clanners, but something always drove them together – even if they wanted it to seem like a coincidence. They both knew they couldn’t keep meeting up forever and risking their relationship, so Lilyripple asked Maplesprig to sire a litter to not only remember him by, but also contribute to her clan, of which Maplesprig complied, albeit with bittersweet ending.
