Physical Description :

A large sized owl with a grey-brown backside and white underside that has dark barring on it. Females are larger than males.

Behavior :

As most owls are, Barred Owls are nighttime hunters. Their preferred habitat is forest and their preferred prey are mammals and birds although some have the taste for crayfish.

Social Organization :

Solitary unless a breeding pair with chicks.

Approval Level : Mod; Being territorial, such an owl would potentially be hunting the area repeatedly (though individuals "passing through" are possible).
Danger Level : Medium (Kits, apprentices and elders are vulnerable);

Being of a large size, any cat the barred owl finds to be weak is an ideal peice of prey. In extream cases a warrior might be attacked.
