Physical Description :

Large hawk that varies in appearance, depending on if it’s a dark or light Variety. It’s wings are long and broad and it’s tail broad and and rusty red in color. Females are larger than males

Behavior :

They prefer open areas like fields, meadows and broken woodlands. They are a sit and wait predator whose preferred diet is rodents and birds.

Solitary unless it is a breeding pair and chicks.
