This large hawk with long, broad wings is brown feathered with a pale underside and dark trailing edges on it’s wings.

Behavior :

Rough legged hawks feed primarily on mammals, and hunt by diving down on their prey. They prefer rocky cliffs for their homes, but hunger can drive them down to lusher, more plentiful territories during very harsh winters.

Solitary

Approval Level : Mod; Rough-legged Hawks would pose a danger for an entire season should things be tight enough to drive them down from their normal hunting grounds beyond Highstones.
Danger Level : High (All cats are vulnerable);

Rough-legged Hawks are deadly hunters and sizable birds of prey, able to prey upon all but the very largest of clan cats without too much trouble.
