Short Description: |
A black she-cat with ghost rosette markings and golden eyes |
Long Description: | Ahryndae is a medium sized she-cat, and young and taut with sleek muscle lining her dark frame. She takes after her sire in color, being that of a dark dusky black, but in the right light, one can see the rippling and shapes of large black, Bengal rosettes that decorate her frame which fade to ghost spot markings on her legs. Her lithe form is composed of long legs and an average length, black tail, with larger than average paws that sheath sharp claws. She has an angled face with sharp cheekbones with a pair of golden, almond-shaped, eyes. |
Personality
|
|
Ahryndae tries her best to be accommodating. Aiming to be charming, graceful, and acute to the pain that others might have. She’s the type of she-cat who attentively listens to the woes and complaints of those around her, or provide a shoulder of consolation who might need her guidance. Her dame prided herself on how well she raised her only daughter, elevating her in the graces that she in turn was raised with. She would have turned out well if it wasn’t for a miscalculation on her mother’s part. It wasn’t how empathetic, charming, or ladylike some cats in society seemed to see much of Ahryndae’s initial impression. In truth, she considers herself the perfect reflection of everything she isn’t. As charming as she might paint herself out to be, once you get to know her, it’s quite obviously a performance This she-cat is a genuine liar, manipulating and scheming to get her way through any means necessary. Of course, being raised knowing her sire had royal blood, having a doting dame, and immeasurable freedoms hasn’t made her into the most humble cat nor one that would have developed her into an appreciative one. Between her brother and herself, Ahryndae finds it easy to take a leadership role, and this compliments her demanding personality. She often conflicts with rules that are not her own, though as an adaptation between social dealings, she will adhere to them if they benefit her in some way and will act affronted if coerced. She believes action is a choice, and not an obligation especially when it comes to her loyalty. She finds that a little bit of persuasion goes a long way, even if someone takes ground against her. When polite words don’t do the trick, and she needs to deal with someone she dislikes, she will turn to social destruction. Talking behind cat’s back, making snide comments, and starting rumors all the while playing the victim. However, behind prying eyes and seeking ears, she can just as equally be ruthless. If she scents vulnerability, she’ll use it to make herself look more powerful. On the other paw, if she scents a threat – she’ll do everything in her power to try to control the situation. The key to getting along with her is to strike the perfect balance of not seeming vulnerable and not being threatening. Keep it up and she could consider that cat a friend. While those are few and far between, with only her brother being her lasting ally, she can allow herself to be a bit more vulnerable and ‘imperfect’, but committing to be her friend still isn’t easy, because of her vain, controlling tendencies. One seemingly interesting detail about her, though, is that Ahryndae’s pride has left her with a desire to offer her services to others. She delights in the notion that some cats, especially her rivals, might beg her for solutions to their problems or might need her in their life. And truly, Ahryndae does her best her best to accommodate – but everything with this she-cat comes with a price. Helping these cats, in this way, leaves her feeling bizarrely good about herself. |

Full History: | Ahryndae and Aodhan were born identical twins, born a moment before her brother, in this case to a dame who thought warmly of the handsome cat she had born a litter to. That cat was named Cearnaigh, and he was the youngest son of King Pendragon and Queen Valiant, which meant that she and her brother had royalty in their veins. As a kit, she usually got what she wanted, growing incredibly fussy when things weren’t presented to her promptly. Though her sire hadn’t been a part of her life, her dame was ever doting – hoping to instill the joys of kithood and the patience of life into her two kits. When traditional measures failed to impress Ahryndae, she was enraptured by the tales of her sire and Pendragon’s court and the admiration in her dame’s voice. She demanded every story in full detail on the matter, and tried her best to practice her best courtly demeanor for when her kittish-self determined she’d return to her father’s court of Whitehart. Despite being young, she pushed herself, and encouraged her brother to learn knowing it’d be a valuable tool they could take with them in the future. Eventually, their dame fell ill, and with her illness her health declined until she passed away. It was around this time that they got old enough to put away their fantasies to instead pursue their own reality, both her and her brother left their old home and started towards the direction of Whitehart, where they both hoped to find Cearnaigh and maybe even take their places in Camelot’s Court. |
