Venus was an average sized she-cat with short, velvety fur. She was a spotted, lynx point sepia tabby, hinting at both of her half Bengal, half Burmese heritage. Her triangular ears stood tall on her head, and her dark face was frame to a pair of round, golden eyes.

Venus was a cat who fully supported her mate without growing too attached to him. She tried to instill in her children the importance of their traditions, and tended to be overly dramatic or exaggerate certain aspects of their inheritance to make herself seem more important in their eyes. She was willing to explore and adventure nearly as much as Cearnaigh, but willingly stayed behind to raise her kits into the cats she knew they needed to be.

Venus was born as the result of a ‘undesired’ bengal being sold to a family who co-owned a burmese cattery. Their prized female took one look at the spotted tom and was immediately smitten. Venus was the result of such pairing, and her inquisitive nature made her a favorite of the family who adopted her as a full, pampered house cat with even more freedoms than her mother, and moved in with the family, not bound to such duties. She was free to explore the outside world and with it, came the discovery of another tom. Apparently she shared her mother’s tastes and grew fond of him, the Black Prince Cearnaigh. His tales of adventure and grandeur astounded her, and soon they both found themselves parents to two kits who shared their sire’s likeness. Once Cearnaigh left to continue his adventures, Venus took to her role as parent, but eventually she longed to be beside him. The malaise eventually turned to sickness, and eventually her death, but not before instilling her kits with all the grandeur they would surely find, in their own adventures locked away by royal blood.
