Antlerrush was a chocolate brown ticked tabby tom with blue eyes. He had a thin physique and long legs, which was very helpful when diving for fish. His coat was short, although it was quite thick so it made him appear very round and plush, especially in winter. He had a bobbed tail and large ears.

• He had scars along his head and back from scuffles with Thunderclan, although he was never injured seriously enough to spend time off-duty. Most of these injures or scrapes were a result of his inability to sit still, think his plans through, and general wanton abandon for his own health.

Antlerrush was a brash and headstrong cat, who rarely considered the consequences of his actions. He had been that way ever since he was a kit and showed no sign of maturing in any way ever as a warrior.

• Even being rather reckless, he made time for his family and friends and was a friendly cat to be around. There was never a dull moment when Antlerrush was near – either because other cats were dragged into his schemes, or they had to get him out of trouble. Yet he always kept bouncing back.

Kit: 0-6 moon

Antlerpaw was born as the only* kit in his litter. He spent most of his younger years coming up with mouse-brained ideas of how to become the youngest leader ever, and grew increasingly vocal about his boredom to anyone who would listen. He especially loved to hunt the fresh-prey pile despite multiple scoldings about how disrespectful it was.

Apprentice: 6- 12 moons

Antlerpaw was apprenticed to ______ (Reedstorm, Duskytail or Snowstep), and was excited to actually get out of the nursery. Lilykit had been a recent addition but she was too small to actually play with. He was an energetic apprentice and never really grew out of his kit-like recklessness despite his mentor’s best efforts.

Warrior: 12 -25

Antlerrush was present for Graystrike’s renaming ceremony following the dog attack(?). He had not been particularly instrumental in the event but made sure to voice his admiration.

Antlerrush spent most of his early years guarding the riverbank, and getting into spats with the warriors of Thunderclan. He wasn’t a particularly great fighter but he could hold his own – and neither side was injured beyond the point where they couldn’t return the next moon to exchange barbs and claws.

Warrior: 25-65 moons

On his 54th moon Antlerrush asked to sire a litter for Firelight; a senior warrior/elder who was quite a bit older than him. He was honoured by the chance as he never considered himself to be a particularly serious cat. His two sons Splashkit and Molekit were born 2 moons later to his delight.

On his 59th moon, Antlerrush accompanied the deputy Boldstrike to receive his name from Starclan; he waiting outside Mothermouth and enthusiastically greeted the newly named Boldstar. He’s known Boldstar ever since he was an apprentice and the two were not all that different in age.

Antlerrush was eventually killed alongside Firelight when he was escorting her around Riverclan territory, and ran straight into a she-fox and her kits. He managed to escape the grasp of the fox but his injuries were too severe and he died a few paces away from the fight; leaving Firelight to her fate.

• His sons were left without a sire or dame because of his lack of foresight and both of them dealt with the loss in substantially different ways.

Firelight: Antlerrush was asked to sire a litter for her, and his two sons Splashpelt and Coldgaze grew up to be warriors, even after he passed.

*I would be willing to give Antlerrush siblings, if someone wanted a Sire or Dame for their cat. At the moment he has none – but that’s for my own concrete sequential madness.
