Dawnflurry stood before the Talking Spot. The sky was lightening but it would still be a while before the sun rose. "I'll lead the dawn patrol myself," he told the assembled warriors. Afer naming those who would join him, he continued, "Clovershine will lead the sunhigh patrol, and Hollyclaw will lead the dusk patrol."
The deputy looked up at the sky for a moment. There'd been breezes the past few days, but to Dawnflurry, greenleaf weather could be difficult to predict. "I'm not sure if we'll have cloud cover today," he added. "Mind the heat, as always." Not that he had to remind anyone, he hoped--they weren't kits--but it didn't hurt to mention.
