Personality

Duchess carries sweet and overly kind demeanor, making her, to select few cats one of the more approachable she-cats around. Raised by southern twolegs, she was heavily influenced by their warm and gentle nature, as well as her mother’s similar disposition. However, this nurturing environment also cultivated a sassy streak in her. Duchess often peppers her conversations with playful, sassy remarks, delighting in the good-natured banter that ensues. Her unique blend of kindness and sass seems to make her a charming presence among those who know her best. |

Full History: | Kithood: Duchess was born in the serene landscape of the riverside, by a hiking range where a lush hiker friendly environment stretched to meet the sky and the scent of lush greenery filled the air. Her mother, Diamond, had once lived as a street cat before finding refuge on the range, a peaceful contrast to the bustling city she left behind. From the moment Duchess could understand, she was enthralled by Diamond’s stories of her wild youth, weaving tales of daring escapes and life on the streets. Though Duchess’ world was gentler, those stories filled her with a sense of wonder and a curiosity that would never leave her. The elderly couple who owned the property doted on Duchess, enchanted by her regal looks and refined demeanor, calling her their “little princess.” Apprentice Age: Growing up by a riverside campground, Duchess had a blissful childhood among the rich environment and getting attention from passing twoleg hikers. She learned to move with little effort through the underbrush, weaving between the legs of the passing without fear. The elderly couple who had ownership for the range were always kind, offering her soft pats and the occasional treat. Duchess became a beloved part of the couple’s world, charming them with her playful sass and lively spirit. Her bond with her mother, Diamond, was strong, and the older cat’s mixture of love and wit shaped Duchess into a cat who was both affectionate and witty. Duchess often found herself exploring every corner of the hiking trails, feeling safe yet free, knowing she was adored. Despite her comfort in the Range, the adventurous spark that Diamond had lit in her began to grow. As Duchess approached her adolescence, she felt the pull of the world beyond the world she had grown up with. She started to venture to the edges of the property, where the familiar gave way to the unknown. Duchess would sit atop fences, gazing at the distant forest with her hazel eyes wide in wonder. Sometimes, when the air was thick with the scent of pine, she even dared to wander into the clan territories, her curiosity drawing her like a moth to a flame. Though she always returned home, those brief tastes of the wild stirred something deep within her. Adulthood: As she grew older, Duchess mastered the art of balancing her life between the elderly couple’s property and the wild. She loved the warmth and safety of her home but could not resist the allure of the unknown that lay beyond. Her travels into unknown territory became more frequent, though she was careful to avoid being caught by the strange cats that roamed the woods. Duchess moved with confidence, having learned both the ways of how to survive on her own terms. Her sharp mind and streetwise instincts, gifts from her mother, helped her navigate the dangers of the world outside the norm, always returning home before dusk with tales of her own adventures. On her explorations, Duchess had more than a few run-ins with clan cats. Though she was not one of them, her confident stance allowed her to hold her own in their presence. Some were intrigued by the mysterious she-cat who smelled of an unknown scent and twolegs, while others were less welcoming. Still, Duchess took these encounters in stride, always ready with a sassy retort or a quick escape. Her experiences with the clan cats only fueled her curiosity about their way of life, though she never felt the need to join them. Duchess thrived on the independence that life as a loner afforded her, enjoying the best of both worlds. Now fully grown, Duchess is a cat who embraces the harmony between her home on the hiking range and the wild world beyond. She remains beloved by the elderly couple and her mother alike, but her heart beats for adventure. Every now and then, when the moon is high, she slips into the night, wandering far from the home she knows so well. Her curiosity, the spark of adventure passed down from Diamond, keeps her exploring the world around her. Duchess’s life is a balance of comfort and excitement, a journey that, much like her mother’s, continues to evolve with each new horizon she meets. |

Appearance:
Overall, I’m leery with approving wording in absolutes. I can get by ‘beautiful contrast’ in accordance to her markings, but as far as describing her as graceful and that her tail swishes gracefully behind her. Graceful defined as “characterized by elegance or beauty of form, manner, movement, or speech” which may not be how other cats see or consider Duchess as. If you can, please use a different word or have it be what she considers or thinks only. Elegant, in this is defined as “tastefully fine or luxurious in dress, style, design” which is why it’s acceptable in context due to her markings.
Personality:
“Her unique blend of kindness and sass makes her a charming and memorable presence among her peers.” – the word ‘memorable’ would be considered powerplay, which implies that she will be remembered by other characters as ‘peers’ which is defined as ‘a person who is equal to another in abilities, qualifications, age, background, and social status.’ is too vague for a world of cats.
History:
Having gotten some information from Kit, the Riverside farm is not ‘technically’ a farm. The farmhouse is owned by a old couple who run the campsite. everything east of the ‘farmhouse garage’ is abandoned due to their old age. They do not own animals. They do not own or work crops. The pastures are currently given over the hiking opportunities for the campers.
Significant Cats:
Unsure if you have gotten Clover’s permission for Noah to already be friends with Duchess, but I will say, Kosmo’s friendship will need to be gained IC. Please remove Kosmo from your list. We can work on RP when you get approved 😉
