Pebblepounce

Pebblepounce is a cat that is oddly long. A sleek built body with lanky legs and an elongated that looks like it belongs to an otter or weasel more than a cat. His mostly white is broken up by large splotches of black across his most of his body, leaving his ears and tail almost entirely black. He has soft, pale yellow eyes.

Much like how his body seems out of place on a cat, his personality feels out of place when compared to his clanmates. Despite being a full warrior, Pebblepounce is very energetic and playful. The lighthearted tom loves to tease others and gently push their boundaries, always taking things a little less seriously than he should. Regardless of his levity, he is fiercely loyal and protective of his clan and those in it and will go to great lengths to ensure that. He treats every single clanmate as if they were his blood regardless of whether or not they feel the same towards him.

Pebblepounce, then Pebblekit was born as one in only a litter of two during a harsh winter by an older queen. He was given the prefix ‘Pebble’ as the black splotches on his pelt were reminiscent of rocks or pebbles that may dot a shoreline. Leaf-bare had left the clan unable to turn up enough food leaving their nursing dam to struggle feeding her small litter. This is likely why Pebblekit’s littermate slowly passed, unable to even move toward the queen to try to suckle near the end. This lead the dam to focus all of her attention on the single kit left.

• Apprentice History (6-12 Moons)

Given apprenticeship and named Pebblepaw, the young tom was excited to be free of what he considered to be an overbearing dam. As an act of rebellion he embraced this freedom, enjoying the opportunity to play and goof off. He would wander off when patrolling, stalk patrols he wasn’t a part of, and launch surprise “attacks” on warriors. He would claim it was to keep everyone “on their toes” and that he was “preparing them”. Despite being reprimanded he never really stopped this behavior, only lessening its intensity.
