Question #1 : Essay Question

Question:

Provide a brief rundown of the personality and history of the character in question, making sure to explain where major personality traits came from, and to include those traits you think qualify the character as the Medicine Cat.

Response:

Personality

Flutterdream is a kind and patient she-cat even if she isn’t much for words. However she does tend to forget what she is doing only to remember at the last second. She’s not one to shy away from lending a cat a shoulder to cry on or someone to listen to whatever’s troubling them.

History

Ever since Flutterdream was a kit she always had an interest in becoming a medicine cat. Often times, you couldn’t see the medicine cat without Flutterkit trailing behind them helping them transfer herbs or moss to wherever they needed to go.

Question #2 : Role Play Situation

Question:

Reply in-character to the following post.

The two apprentices snarled at each other in anger, the fur on their necks raised and their tails fluffed up like bottle brushes. As they circled, they spat insults back and forth. “Unreasonable mousebrained fool!” the gray tabby tom called Shadowpaw hissed. “I don’t understand why you just won’t leave me alone!”

“You’re the one who got us in trouble!” The speaker spitting this insult was the long-haired half brother of Shadowpaw known as Greypaw. The two were born to different Queens around the same time, but both by the same tom, named Fogpelt. This had led to the two kits echoing their individual mother’s competitive pushes for their kit to outperform the other. “Leafclaw was hunting with BOTH of us. It’s because of your incompetence that we have to tend the Elders’ ticks!”

Response:

Flutterdream’s ears perked up at the sound of the two apprentices arguing while she was sorting through herbs and putting the bad herbs in a seperate pile by themselves. Standing up, the she-cat padded towards the two toms to figure out what the situation was. “There’s nothing wrong with treating the elders ticks.” She mewed placing herself in between so the two apprentices had to turn their heads to look at the other.

She paused for a heartbeat to gather her thoughts to make sure she said the right words. “Now I don’t exactly know what the situation is going on here, but Leafclaw didn’t have to hunt for no cat, but they did it out of kindness.” She finally mewed a bit softly, but making sure her voice could be heard. “I could talk to both of your mentors and ask them to give you both a harsher punishment,” Flutterdream watched as both Tom’s eyes widened in shock even though the she-cat wouldn’t actually do it. “But I won’t because I know of countless warriors who had to take care of elders.” She continued finally stepping back so the toms could finally look at each other without the Tortiseshell in the way. “Now I suggest you both run along and take care of those ticks.”

Question #3 : Role Play Situation

Question:

Reply in-character to the following post.

Leafclaw had been feeling unwell, and coughed as she approached the Medicine Cat’s den. Once greetings had been handled, she began in a somewhat weak voice. “Yesterday I was okay, but it rained again. Today I can hardly breath through my nose and I’ve been…” she didn’t finish the statement, but it seemed that her illness intended to speak for itself has the deep chested hacking that erupted from the lithe she-cat must have been what she had been about to refer to.

Response:

Nodding, Flutterdream laid her tail across Leafclaw’s shoulder as she led her further into her den. Finding a nest closest to her own, so she could keep an eye on the she-cat she nodded towards it. “Here lay down and let me see if I have anything that can help.” She mewed as she padded towards her storage, keeping in mind what symptoms Leafclaw was going through. So she said she was having trouble breathing and she has a weak voice.. what could help with that. The tortie thought as she listened for Leafclaw just on the off chance the she-cat had another coughing fit.

Taking a bundle of herbs, she returned to Leafclaw. She offered a small ball of moss she was able to gather just that morning due to the rain. “This should help with your throat even just a little bit.” She mewed as she pushed the rest of her bundle forward of poppy seeds, and Catmint. “These should also help.” She mewed as she waited for the lilthe she-cat to take the herbs.
