Stormkit

Stormkit is a black ticked tabby mink she-kit. Her pelt is a middling warm gray that fades to creamy gray as it reaches her underside. The points of her body (tail, nose, ears, and paws) are a bit darker than the rest of her pelt, hinting at her mother’s Tonkinese ancestry. The leather of her nose is significantly darker than the rest of of her coat, looking nearly black. She shows hints of growing into a sleek and larger than average cat based on being a kit with both of those traits.

Currently young enough that only the vaguest hints are detectable of the mercurial cat she will grow to be. Even now her temper fluctuates from one extreme to the other: First growling with anger and then purring with pleasure without a rhyme or reason. Everything she feels seems to hit her more intensely that others, or at least she begins to believe this to be true rather early in life.

Stormkit was the third to arrive of Otterwhisker’s first litter, sired by Boldstar. She and her siblings began life in the sunshine or an unusually warm running prey under the waning moon. A medicine cat would consider the waning gibbous moon a good omen for a kitting as it was the time for the finishing of things.
