Closed Thread When the Dust Settles

 The heat of the day hadn't quite bothered Dustpaw, who had spent a good portion of his day replacing bedding in the Elder's den. After his tasks came a bit of reprieve, a mouse finding his way under his nose as he relished in the fresh prey. His maw pitched back in a yawn, and after making sure there wasn't anything else pressing for him to complete, dipped his head into the apprentice's den.

Slumber came quickly, however, sleep was disturbed by the rocking of his muscles and movement behind his eyes. A dream most fitful as his whole body seemed puppeted by whatever gripped him. Sudden, violent... no dream as legs kicked out, before he curled in on himself and breathed his last, a dribbling of drool pooling over his nesting moss.
