The ground was still damp from the day previous downpour, a fact that was very much known to the young medicine cat apprentice as he made his way through the boughs of camp. His mouth tickled with the fullness of it, as he carried a heaping pile of dandelion root and leaves that dangled from his teeth like some sort of green whiskered catfish.
Before long he realized that he was leaving behind straglers as he passed the fresh kill pile and, with a half groan, turned back to delicately tuck the missing leaves back into his mouth when - disaster. More began to spill out until he had to purposefully make a messy pile and try all over again. And be extra careful not to puncture a stem! Willowfrost made it look so easy...
