Finally a warm day. The fluffs of clouds above had departed, and the promise of summer was sure to follow. Mother would appove...the sunshine peering down, especially reflected off of them to accentuate their spots. The cold weather was unsuited to basking, but even Lelouch appreciated the tickling chill of an autumn breeze.
The lilac tom would be seen this afternoon in his back gardens, touring the spring blooms. Daffodils suspected to investigation... Good color, petals seemed to be unfurling normally. He much enjoyed the garden, but more when it was at its best. The spring blooms would come first, and then like clockwork, the summer flowers - and then the authunal berries. All overlooked from his perch facing the fountain.
Lelouch, the marquee of Noon, lounged on a flat perch of ivory stone. Birdsong and the splash of running water from the roman style bust filled his ears. It was a good sound... one that he could find himself dozing. A light sleep soothed by sunlight, warming him in the welcome heat. He should really investigate some of the new cats in town. However, between the rumors and heresay he suspected that he would also be a source of curiosity too. It would be unseemly to be seen stalking the streets searching for his own entertainment. After his nap he suspected he would tour the other side of the garden and touch base with his mother and her preparations.

Uther slid out of the cat flap in his home's door, letting himself out in the back yard. He looked left, and then right, before setting his sights on the garden patch in the far corner. He wished to check on the herbs that grew there. The catnip was young, but he liked to watch is come in well before he started to partake. If one started too early the crop didn't last long and then it was pack to trying to enjoy the dried sort. It just wasn't the same.
Once the gray spotted tom completed his oversight, deeming the catnip to need more time before harvest could begin, he made his way the short distance to the fence that separated the yards.He looked over the polished back yard dotted with bright flowers. The fountain was a pretty touch, but he couldn't help but prefer his own pond and waterfall with the bright red and yellow koi to keep it lively.
It was hard to miss the tom cat seated on the right fountain. He settled himself before giving a greeting. "Hail and well met."

Bliss like this was hard to come by, and his reprieve was well earned after a long morning of begrudging duty that begun with a lengthy lecture, with a touch of complaint from his Mother. It was his business to aide her, but it seemed far too early to hear his mother seethe.
"Hail and well met."
Blinking through the sunlight, the lilac tom's golden gaze flickered towards the direction of a voice. Those large triangular ears rounded delicately to regard the newcomer...a stranger, no less. Lelouch thought himself a particular judge of character, and it only took a careful study of a few moments for curiosity to pigue his interest.
Not the usual mutt or molly, it seems... The tom's eyes narrowed, a modicum of interest shining through, if only momentarily. The strangers coat was clean and brilliant, his step was light and formal. His nostrils flared as if trying to determine something that assured him of his status right underneath his skin.
Could this be a cat of pedigree?
Either way, it wouldn't do to not return his greeting, so Lelouch lifted his head to acknowledge the cat in front of him. "Bonjour, esteemed stranger. May the radiance of the day befittingly grace your presence. Pray, enlighten me with your name and purpose, for the distinguished encounter we now partake in surely bears significance." There was dialect there, delicate and practiced that hinted, perhaps, of some far off land.
