Laurent’s form is well-bodied for his breed, solid and long-limbed as a purebred Oriental Longhair. His almond sharped eyes are slanted back onto his angular face and are green-yellow in color. His sleek coat is lilac in hue, in a generally solid pattern, however, faint ghost spots line his legs and tail. His neck is lined with a thick ruffle of fur, creating a mane of sorts, with a large plume for a tail.

Larent is a cat of few words, preferring to let his actions speak for him in most situations. He is a habitual creature, who is stringent and rarely gives second chances. His elder son especially struggles hard for his approval, but such things must be earned, and finds great importance in his accomplishments – and berates any weaknesses. Few things come before family, however, and must always carry themselves as the champions he knows they are. Lucille is one of the only cats in his life that can coax a hearty conversation from him, and despite their marriage being an arranged affair, has come to care very deeply for his mate and supports her in every way he can.

Laurent came from a large litter, from a Cattery based out of Boston from an aware winning line of show cats for his breed. His family life was typical of those who showed frequently, and was accustomed to travel nearly as much as he was at his cozy villa home. Praise and admiration were saved only for those who earned it, and caused Laurent to strive for every shread of affection from his family and his humans. In order to expand the cattery and strengthen their bloodline, the human attendants to his family arranged to merge with the Noon Cattery, formerly based in Toulouse, France, that had recently moved to the States.

Laurent was immediately moved by his extraordinary fiancé, and eventually learned to let himself relax. They would talk for hours, sometimes about the mundane going ons of their families, but was especially taken by the seeming importance of her Cattery. There seemed to be traditions in place that Lucille was privy too, and lived like royalty with pedigree and titles from her homeland passed down from her mother, then grandfather, then fathers-fathers father. The Noon Cattery seemed seeped in history, and while he shared Lucille’s passions and intensions to pass such things onto her offspring, he rarely partook in the “pomp”.

“Lord Laurent” now a duke by marriage, took delight in his new family but struggled to properly show it. Like his family before him, he expected the best from his children but also tried to motivate and encourage them in his own ways. Either way, his children grew up and he spent less and less time with them until his recent retirement, where he stays at the Noon’s winter villa out of town leaving Lucille in Whitehart, with the rare visit, always celebrated with finery at no expense.
